There are more than a few places in Dubai where you can walk dogs without complaints or financial sanctions.

As a result, we have compiled a complete list of the best places that you can go for a stroll with your dog. Check the app for the exact location under the WALK icon

1 – The desert

Living in the UAE, we are blessed to be surrounded by acres of open space in the form of desert. In particular, the open areas behind the Arabian Ranches and JVT, Mirdif and near Al Qudra are great places for your dog to run around and get some well-needed exercise.

2 – Springs and Meadows

With beautiful landscapes and lush lawns, this area provides the perfect sanctuary to walk your dog, right in the heart of the city. Additionally, there’s a lovely dog park for the residents of the community and their furry friends located in Springs 8. There are even doggie waste bins are located all around the area, which shows you just how dog-friendly the area is. There’s even a cordoned off area, where your dog can move around without a leash, however, this is only accessible for residents of the community.

3 – Southridge Park

Located in Downtown Dubai is one of the few parks in which dogs can enter and walk. Technically, one side of the park is pet-friendly and dogs must always be leashed. It’s a great opportunity for your pup to enjoy a bit of grass if that’s something they would care about.

4 – The Sustainable city

The area is very pet friendly. It’s easy to walk your dog around the neighbourhood there. It’s better if you obviously live there, however, can still walk your dog in the outside areas of that neighbourhood. Some of the coffee shops also welcome dogs. 5 – Irish Village

One of the OG dog-friendly spots in Dubai, the Irish Village has always been a place that is welcoming to all dogs, as long as they are on a leash. They will offer your pup a bowl of water at all the restaurants.

Located in Downtown Dubai is one of the few parks in which dogs can enter and walk. Technically, they can only walk on the pavement, not on the grass and must always be leashed . It’s a great opportunity for your pup to enjoy the Dubai Fountains if that’s something they would care about.

6 – JLT

You can walk your dog between all the clusters in JLT. However, you are not allowed to have dogs in the central JLT Park. All of the other areas are fine. Some of the restaurants also welcome dogs. Here are our favs: Wokyo; Streetery; Cibo Italiano and Betawi

7 – Golden Mile on the Palm Jumeirah

That peaceful strip of greenery on the Golden Mile is a perfect place to walk your dog. Many of the cafes there are also pet friendly and allow you to sit outside to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with your pup.

8 – Dubai Media City Amphitheatre Park

This little park located in the heart of Dubai Media City is a surprisingly peaceful place to take your dogs for a walk. The lake, footpath and grassy area are dog friendly and a perfect place to bring your little guy for a walk. You can also stop for a coffee or lunch at pet-friendly restaurant Illago located right by the lake, chef Andrea and his wife are huge pet lovers!

9 – The Greens

Additionally, there’s a lovely dog park for the residents of the community and their furry friends. 10 – Jumeirah Islands Pavillion

Walking paths surrounded of water currents and greenery, great for a nice stroll surrounded by the nature. You can drive to the parking of the pavilion Jumeirah islands’ amenities and walk your dog around the lakes from there.
